Olukoyede hails NYSC at 53 and the EFCC chairman made it clear. The fight against corruption needs young people, and the National Youth Service Corps is one of the best vehicles to reach them.

The celebration happened on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Lagos. Olukoyede was represented by ACE II Babatunde Sulaiman, Head of Public Affairs at the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2. He did not just show up to cut cake. He used the moment to reaffirm the EFCC’s commitment to working closely with the NYSC to push anti-corruption education deep into Nigerian communities.

He called the NYSC one of Nigeria’s most enduring nation-building institutions. Over five decades, the scheme has bridged ethnic, cultural, and religious divides. It has fostered unity, patriotism, discipline, and selfless service among generations of young graduates. That is not small talk. That is what the NYSC actually does, sending corps members to places they would never otherwise see and forcing them to build something together.

Olukoyede also acknowledged the critical role Nigerian youths play in shaping the future of the nation. The EFCC has long used NYSC platforms to spread anti-corruption messages through Community Development Service groups and campus outreach. That collaboration is clearly not ending anytime soon.

The message was simple. Corruption is not just fought in courtrooms and sting operations. It is fought in the minds of young people who are told early that integrity still matters. The NYSC at 53 remains one of the best channels to deliver that message.
