President Donald Trump did not mention the response in his latest post. Instead, he warned that Iran will no longer be allowed to string America along. He said for nearly five decades Iranians have been playing games, killing people, destroying protests, and laughing at the United States. That laughter, he promised, ends now.
The Ceasefire that was meant to create space for talks has held in large part. There have been occasional exchanges of fire but nothing that fully shattered the pause. Behind the scenes, a US news outlet reports that a one-page, 14-point memo sits on the table. The terms include suspending Iranian nuclear enrichment, lifting sanctions, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian state media say the response focuses on ending the war and securing maritime safety in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. That waterway remains largely blocked. Iran controls it. The US has responded with its own blockade on Iranian ports. Oil prices have climbed. The standoff is costing everyone.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian did not directly mention the proposal but made the country’s position plain. Bowing is not an option. Dialogue does not mean surrender. Israel’s prime minister is drawing even harder lines. Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium must be physically removed before the war can be considered over. Enrichment sites must be dismantled. Nothing less will do.

Nothing will happen until hostilities end but the groundwork is being laid. If the ceasefire collapses, the next phase could be far worse. Trump has already warned that if no deal is signed, the bombing starts at a much higher level than before. That threat still hangs in the air.
