Everton fan arrested for racist abuse as Semenyo targeted during match
Merseyside Police moved fast on Monday. An Everton supporter was arrested during the home game against Manchester City. The charge points to racist abuse directed at Antoine Semenyo.

Manchester City also weighed in. The club praised the quick action taken by Everton and Merseyside Police. But they had more bad news to share. England defender Marc Guehi, 25, was hit with a wave of vile racist posts on social media after the same match.
City released a statement expressing deep disappointment. They confirmed full support for both Semenyo and Guehi. The club stressed they will never accept discrimination of any kind in the game.
